Welcome to version 13 of the DragonflyPix Photo Quiz, which is available as of February 2017. It includes photos of all 133 European species we've photographed to date.
The quiz consists of 10 questions, randomly selected from a total of almost 2,500. Your task is to identify the dragonflies or damselflies in the photographs.
Click the "Start Quiz" button in the bottom right corner, then select the correct species from the dropdown list, and click the "Answer" button. If your answer is correct, you get 2 points; if it was incorrect, you can try one more time, for 1 point. The maximum you can score on this quiz is therefore 20 points.
To help you determine the species correctly, the country and month in which each photograph was made are displayed in the bottom left corner.
Note: On this page, the dropdown list contains the Dutch common names, if available. Click one of the flags below if you prefer to see the names in a different language, or click here to see the scientific species names. Or if you'd prefer to limit yourself to the 74 species which (used to) occur in Belgium and the Netherlands, click here.
